About the Role
Our long standing and successful Wills Cafe caters for our residents, their families as well as to the general public through our 160 seat café and private functions in our community rooms. Reporting to the Front of House Team Leader and working closely with a professional team, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of food preparation to our Café customers.
You will ideally be available for a minimum of three shifts a week, and these may include weekends or evening shifts.
•Ensuring customer orders are met by preparing sandwiches, cooking to order in an accurate and timely manner;
•Providing friendly and enthusiastic customer service;
•Use of espresso coffee machine;
•Contribute in the back of house wash up area;
•Assisting with the set up and clearing of the café for differing functions;
•Assisting the Chef with simple food preparation as required;
•Contributing to a hygienic work environment by cleaning and sanitising equipment, floors and work areas at front and back of Café;
•Contributing to the effectiveness of the whole team by working in a cooperative way;
•Ensuring that safety (WHS), health, hygiene and cleanliness standards set by Anglicare are maintained.
As the successful candidate, you will have kitchenhand experience, strong customer service skills and will be able to contribute to an environment that makes customers feel comfortable and welcome.
Skills, knowledge and experience needed
•Relevant food handling experience in a cafe/commercial kitchen, customer contact or a willingness to be trained.
•Good communication and organisation skills.
•A genuine alignment with Anglicare's Christian values.
•Preference to be a trained barista.
•Must hold current RSA certificate or willingness to obtain
