Anglicare's Sisson Clinic is a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists committed to providing specialised clinical care and quality service for the residents and visitors of Anglicare Villages at Castle Hill.
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist who is committed and enthusiastic in ensuring the quality of life to our clients. You will be passionate about keeping older people physically active and engaged in life whilst maintaining their mobility and independence.
The position is part time 2 days per week Thursdays and Fridays from 9.00am until 3.30pm. Opportunity to pick up extra hours as required during the week.
•Ensures that there are plans/recommendations for residents to enable independence through assessment, documentation needs and reviewing and updating as required;
•Ensures that clients/residents who are being treated achieve the best possible outcome by providing high quality occupational therapy.
•Contributes to the effective functioning of the team by sharing specialist knowledge and informing team members about changes to residents.
•Contributes to the management of residents/clients with specific urgent needs by understanding their needs, deciding on the best way to support the resident/client, and spending the time required to implement these strategies.
•Maintain accurate records.
•Qualification in Occupational Therapy.
•Current AHPRA Registration and community aged care experience
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Assessment and Documentation Skills
•Commitment to quality improvement
