About the Role:

Anglicare have a new and exciting initiative to roll out the Head to Health adult mental health model across the Shoalhaven area. Be a part of this exciting opportunity to establish our Metro Mental Health Network and build this program from the ground up. We are looking for a Mental Health professional to lead Anglicare’s Metro Mental Health Network in Nowra to service the Shoalhaven region. In this role you will be ensuring the program is consistent with the Head to Health service model and also meets local needs. You will be recruiting, supporting and training program staff to manage the day-to-day operations of a suite of mental health and suicide prevention services. Provide subject matter expert expertise in a relevant professional discipline relating to mental health and suicide prevention.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Ensure contracted deliverables and funding guidelines set by Coordinare (SENSWPHN) are met through the provision of therapies, support, advocacy and referral pathways with local service providers.
  • Ensure services and information provided meet the needs of clients and their families by overseeing the development and implementation of these services.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluation of program and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure staff are well supported by providing role clarity, service standards, line and clinical supervision, professional development and support to engage well with clients, their families, other staff and external stakeholders.
  • Involve people with relevant lived experience to ensure their perspectives are appropriately reflected in the design and ongoing operation of the program.
  • Ensure effective marketing of services to reach referral stakeholders and potential clients and their families by working with the Anglicare Marketing department and by developing positive working relationships with the local community, churches and key referral stakeholders.
  • Ensure professional, aligned and capable management and clinical leadership to the team in line with the organisation’s Christian vision, mission, values and strategy. Select capable and aligned staff.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification applicable to role - Degree e.g., Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Counselling and registered with relevant professional body.
  • Minimum 6+ years clinical experience post qualification
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience working in cross cultural settings
  • Well developed computer literacy skills.
  • Experience working within a recovery-oriented service.
  • Demonstrated financial skills including developing and monitoring a budget.
  • Demonstrated achievements in leadership (leading and coaching a team) and stakeholder management within the mental health sector.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management – written and verbal.
  • Current Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Covid 19 vaccination is strongly recommended
  • Strong personal alignment with the Mission and Vision of Anglicare.
