About The Role

Anglicare is looking for a passionate and organised Volunteers Coordinator to support the Residential Care, Retirement Living and Social Wellness Centre teams on a Permanent Part-Time (3 days a week) role based either at Caddens or Rooty Hill.

As a Volunteers Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient recruitment, processing, allocation and support of all volunteers so that the needs of staff and residents are appropriately met, in accordance with the organisation’s Christian Vision, Mission, Values and Purpose.

You will be responsible for parts of the Greater Western Sydney Region (Richmond, Penrith, Caddens, Rooty Hill Blacktown, Oran Park) covering 11 Anglicare locations.

Some of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Liaising with Anglicare managers in, Residential Care, Retirement Living and Social Wellness Groups to  identify priority needs.
  • End to end recruitment and onboarding of volunteers.
  • Support volunteers by organising and conducting orientations, introducing the volunteer to relevant parties (manager, therapists, residents, clients, etc.), organising training (delivering training when required) and support sessions (delivering when required) as needed.
  • Identifying any problems or issues that the volunteer may be experiencing and resolving them without undue delay.
  • Maintain volunteer details, compliance checks, workplace and relevant communication (between Volunteering, staff and volunteers).
  • Supporting and organising recognition events, recognising years of service and conducting debriefing sessions for volunteers where applicable.
  • Providing monthly reports to Management.
  • Stakeholder management by regular liaison with church groups, schools, community clubs and corporate groups to publicise the volunteers program and enhance the recruitment of volunteers.

About You

  • Proven track record in managing a volunteer program.
  • Experience in all aspects of volunteer coordination
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Results-oriented mindset, consistently achieving predetermined targets.
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills, thinking laterally to overcome challenges.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Travel to different sites within the region.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake or provide clearances for the following Checks: A Police Check, NDIS Check, Working with Children Check, qualifications and referee checks.
