About the Role:
Reporting to the Village Manager, the Gardener is responsible for all gardening duties including garden renovations, minor landscaping projects, mulching, weeding, watering and assisting with tree care.
Key responsibilities (not limited to):
*Ensures all villages gardens are maintained to a high standard
*Contributes to the support of residents by providing appropriate assistance and quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.
*Contributes to the development of the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, complying with site safety rules.
*Participates in workplace consultation activities and actively participating in any other safety activities as prescribed in the WHSIMS.
Skills & Experience:
*Appropriate certificate in Gardening or related discipline is preferred, but at a minimum a basic knowledge of gardening/landscaping
*Good knowledge of garden maintenance including plant ID and pest and disease identification
*Dedicated team player with a strong passion for gardening and supporting the elderly
*Well presented with good communication skills
